Balliater is a Lande Family brand. Lande Family is ta progressive family business with passionate creators of timeless, custom-made furniture. Six strong brands that excel in the fields of home furnishings, project design, shipping and the leisure sector. Lande Family consists of the following brands: A Lott Of Space, Artifort, Balliater, Lande, Montis, Pörtner and Zwaardvis. The most innovative ideas come to life at our production sites in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Turkey.
Six brands – one family

We design and manufacture entirely in-house at our locations in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Turkey. Together with our 200 skilled professionals, we create furniture for A Lott Of Space, Artifort, Lande, Pörtner, Zwaardvis and Montis. Six strong brands that excel in the fields of home furnishings, project design, shipping and the leisure sector. From table bases in a ship's cabin to complete office furnishings: as a furniture manufacturer for these brands, we are capable of making anything.
A rich history
Lande Family has a rich history as a Brabant family business with generations of strong brands. It began in 1970 with the production of steel furniture for wholesalers under the name Jami in Schijndel. For the first twenty years, we also focused on the production of steering chairs and bases for the nautical market with Zwaardvis. After that, we changed course from mass production to customer-specific production. In 1998, Lande Family acquired the Artifort design brand, which has been making history since 1890, and in 2012, the acquisition of Pörtner was finalised. With the Lande brand, we have also been focusing on project design for a number of years. In 2021, A Lott Of Space was founded within the family, with circularity as its starting point.
